We thank you for taking the time to view some of our products, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.  Kbear creations is owned and operated by Kerry and Daisy Leonard and their two daughters Mallory and Marqui of El Paso llinois.  As a family we enjoy nature and some of the simple luxuries it provides;  hiking, paddling, fishing and camping just to name a few.  Our love of the outdoors and nature is certainly reflected in some of our work.  We specialize in rustic and live edge furniture, reclaimed materials projects, turnings and even restorations of antiques or family heirlooms. The Leonard family has a long history of creativity and carpentry.  We have traced our heritage back to Scotland and later England where the trade of carpenter, barn-raiser and even master craftsmen are mentioned quite often.  Kerry is also a craftsman and designer at Dick's Custom Cabinets- owned by his parents.  You might say they have a passion for creating unique items of quality.

        We take a lot of pride in the projects we create, adding patience and personal touch to every item.  As the demand continues for rustic decor, so does our arsenal of ideas and creations to pursue.  We take the time to hand pick our lumber to give the project its intended original look- one that cannot be duplicated.  Our timbers across the country are flourishing with natural beauty that just a little cultivation can reveal a beautiful piece.  

        In terms of restorations, not many of our old time artisan friends are left.  We have gained considerable priceless knowledge of the construction ways of the old times by spending countless hours working on various types of old projects.  We not only refinish, we rework and repair these old gems to their original form of perfection.  Restoration work is very time consuming but also boasts a great reward at the end!  Dressers, vanities, tables, chests and rocking chairs have been a few of the frquently seen antiques.  We take the time to research the original look and do our best to resemble that image as a final goal.

        We have recently began turning peppermills, letter openers,  bottle stoppers, pens and even a selection of various kitchen utensils.  these products make great gifts at those special times of the year.  We hope you will enjoy the photos of our work and we look forward to hearing from you soon.  Thanks again and God Bless!
